The famous watch company has taken the breath of many people by launching an incredible diving watch – Hublot King Power Oceanographic 4000 Automatic Diving watch. It is a Hublot masterpiece that embraces the latest technology, materials and design. Join with me for a look.
The magnificent Hublot watch takes on a 48mm tonneau-shaped case. It is crafted in titanium or black carbon fiber. The bezel, which is of the same material of the case, showcases a unidirectional rotating flange which is operated on a massive titanium crown at 2 o’clock. At ten o’clock of the watch sits a helium escape valve which automatically releases the gas when the diver is returning to the surface. Securing the bezel to the watch case are six double-arrowed screws. On the top of the watch case is a piece of 6.5 mm thick sapphire crystal which is strong enough to resist the water pressure in 4000 meters underwater. The back of the watch case is a screwed-down one.
Driving the hours, minutes, seconds and date functions of the Hublot King Power Oceanographic 4000 Automatic Diving watch is a Swiss made self-winding HUB1401 movement. It is composed of 180 individual units and incorporates 23 jewels. With a Glucydur hairspring, the power reserve ability of the movement is 42 hours.
All functions are presented on a black dial which houses luminous facetted hour-markers and luminous sand-blasted hands. The structure of the hands gives a magnificent look to the watches.
Teaming with the Hublot masterpiece is a black rubber “Town” strap or a rubber and nylon combined “Diver” strap.
Only 500 pieces are launched for the black carbon fiber version of the Hublot King Power Oceanographic 4000 Automatic Diving watch and 1000 pieces of the titanium version are launched by Hublot.
