For 2011, Victornox has put forward a new design for AirBoss – a simpler and smaller AirBoss than its previous versions. The new AirBoss, when one takes a closer look to it, gives one a precise, functional and reliable look.
The watch is measured at relatively small size – 42mm but its dial manages to give a clear and readable look. It is featuring two large arrow shaped hours and minutes hands coated with luminous materials while the seconds hand is shaped in a long thin strip. Going with the hour and minute hands are the large clear Arabic hour markers. Further giving the dial an organized and readable look are the three circles of digit tracks and date aperture at six o’clock. What’s more, this clear dial is well protected and seen through the sapphire crystal with scratch-resistant and anti-reflective functions. The back of the watch is also made of mineral crystal which enables one to take a view of its Swiss-made automatic movement.
It is said that AirBoss gives a fine example for the “second-glance” watch design. On the first glance, one could sense its “pilot-inspired” look while for the second glance, one could catches more fine details like the beveled double-surface bezel, which is well set in the satin-brushed 316L stainless steel case, the raised Arabic markers and the tiny grooves in the dial. All those details indicate that this AirBoss is a user-friendly developed and delicately designed timepiece and one should paid close attention to it.
The AirBoss is made into two versions, the silver dial one and the charcoal dial one. Although it hasn’t been put into the market at present, it has attracted a lot of attention from watch fans. And for your information, it asks for about $995. Hope you have a good time.
